Project Overview

The project included the construction and installation of 236 modular accommodation, recreational facilities, messing commercial kitchen facilities, and a commercial laundry. Works included bulk earthworks, concrete foundations, water, sewer, electrical, fire and communication services.

Challenges

• Undertook civil and earthworks during the wet season
• Coordinated multiple trade disciplines to ensure that the project was safely delivered in a very tight program
• Managed offsite fabrication of the transportable building and ensured correct permitting and escorting of buildings to site

Successes

• Project completed by target completion date and under budget even though time was lost due to high level of rainfall
• No LTIs or MTIs
• No defects at handover
• Led to repeat business with the client
