Project Overview

Refurbishment of 64 target bunkers, 2 “mobile” bunkers and installation of two sentry posts to provide shelter for up to two soldiers at a time. The work includes: 

  • Re-profiling of 64 earth bunkers and replacement of 10 concrete bunkers 
  • Design and modification to the 2 mobile bunkers, approximately 1,200m in length 
  • Design, fabrication and installation of 2 sentry huts and flag poles
  • Refurbishment of access roads and toe drains.

Challenges

  • Remote location
  • Audit of all HSEQ systems and documentation
  • Ensuring that the works did not impinge on use of the range

Successes
