Project Overview

  • Bulk earthworks, road pavements, sub soil drainage, 375- 1200mm RCP stormwater, DN225 & DN150 water, DN225 sewer, curb and gutter, asphalt and landscaping
  • HV reticulation from Palmerston Zone Substation to Package sub including earthing
  • MV and LV reticulation
  • Installation of all electrical and coms including conduits and pipe
  • Supply and install all street lighting
  • 55m directional bore under Rystonea Av and installation of 500 DN225 Steel casing pipe

Challenges

  • Working around existing services that were not identified on Dial Before You Dig
  • Working on a site, which was co-located with the construction of a multi-story hotel
  • Management of traffic with the construction of new road interfaces to existing roads of the subdivision

Successes

  • No lost time injuries
  • No interaction with unidentified services
  • Completed on time, although unidentified rock was found across the site
