Project Overview

Scope of work included:

• Bulk earthworks, drainage works, roadworks and fencing
• 11kV and 33kV conduit and feeder cable and feeder distribution cable pits
• Installation of earthing grid
• Construction of 11kV basement for control room, transformer foundations, oil separator and all associated electrical and coms conduit and cable from greenfield to brownfield site

Challenges

• Site access and security
• Access to site from a busy intersection
• Maintaining security between greenfield and brownfield works
• Maintaining security while replacing a residential boundary fence

Successes

• No LTI or MTI
• No security reaches
• No unplanned outage or damage to underground cables
• No resident complaints
